LOCRONAN
Beautiful square with a rich history : houses made of granite,
dating from Renaissance, old water-wells, a church...
“les Troménies” : The “mountain of Locronan” which dominates the
village, offers an original scene during the days of “pardon”, called here “les
Troménies”.
The St-Ronan church and the chapel of Penity : the church dates from the XVth
century and the chapel from the XVIth. In the latter, you can see the tomb of
St-Ronan.
St-Ronan workshop : we can discover the artisanal tradition of
weaving tablecothes by hand. Room of exhibitions and merchandise.
Artisan’s house : workshop for hand woven linen where 3 looms
are still functioning.
Exhibition of wood-carving and cottage
industry.
Museum : the ground floor is devoted to the XIXth :
earthenware of Quimper, stoneware, costumes of Locronan. On the first floor :
“les Troménies”, several paintings.
MENEZ-HOM
Summit of 330 : one of the biggest Brettans nice views. (The
15th August : Folk Festival )
CROZON
Modern church : with many beautifully coloured statues from
the XVIIth century.
MORGAT
The port : with moovings for 400 pleasure boats.
The big caves : in particular the cave of the Altar (80
meters deep and 15 meters high) with a lot of colours.
The little caves : accessible at low tide. They separate the
beach of Morgat and the beach of Portzic.
POINTE-DE-PENHIR
Monument : in rememberance of the Brettons of Free
French Force.
Panoramas : with 3 isolated rocks called “Les Tas de
Pois”.
CAMARET-SUR-MER (langoustines, a speciality of this seaside
resort)
Chapel Notre-Dame de Rocamadour : dating from the XVIIth century.
Origin of the pilgrimage in Rocamadour dating from the XIth century.
Vauban castle : end of the XVIIth. A naval museum recalls
the historic and maritim past of the city.
LE FAOU
Church : dating from the XVIth. It is situated on the
edge of the river.
